OUR PHILOSOPHY:
"Treats for Everyone" is the guiding principle behind Munka Sweet, reflected in everything from our keto-friendly recipes to our dairy-free offerings. Whether you're limiting traditional sweeteners for a lifestyle shift, a health-related need, or simply a mindful swap, our mission stays the same: dessert should never taste "sugar-free." Every Munka Sweet bite delivers a rich, decadent experience that honors your dietary choices without sacrificing an ounce of flavor.
Well then…What makes us sweet?
Most traditional desserts lean on conventional caloric sweeteners like cane sugar, agave, honey, maple syrup or dates. Low-carb versions usually swap in sugar alcohols instead.
At Munka Sweet, we build sweetness with a trio of carefully chosen ingredients to get that familiar taste and texture you know and love, while keeping things low-carb, keto-friendly and delicious.
Allulose: A rare sugar found naturally in small amounts in fruits such as figs and raisins. It has a taste and functionality similar to conventional sugar and is the primary sweetener in our caramels and confection fillings.
Monk Fruit: A high-intensity sweetener used in small amounts to round out the sweetness profile. Monk fruit is an ingredient in our chocolate confection blends, including both our signature and vegan treats.
Inulin: A prebiotic fiber derived from chicory root that contributes body, creaminess and a rich mouthfeel to our caramels and confections.
Munka Sweet Signature Treats
What we use in our caramels and confections:
• Whole food sourced fats such as cocoa butter, coconut oil, dairy* and nut butters.
• Roasted nuts & seeds: Always dry-roasted without added oils.
• Simple Accents: sea salt and vanilla are used to provide depth and flavor.
What we don’t use:
• Artificial sweeteners, flavors, or preservatives.
• Sugar alcohols (like erythritol or maltitol).
• Refined seed oils (like soybean or canola oil).
• Gluten-containing ingredients.
*Please note that our signature caramels and confections use dairy ingredients including butter and cream. As a vegetarian kitchen, we do not use collagen or gelatin. Read below for dairy-free options.
Munka Sweet Vegan Treats
We are proud to expand our offerings to include vegan treats. “Treats for Everyone” is the motto and the goal.
What VEGAN means for our treats:
Our vegan treats contain no animal-derived ingredients, including dairy, eggs, gelatin, collagen, honey, or animal-based colorants. Each recipe is designed to capture the same sweetness and texture of our signature caramels, with plant-based swaps, such as cocoa butter, nut butters, coconut, and plant proteins.

ALLERGEN STATEMENT
Munka Sweet products are prepared in a home kitchen that processes tree nuts, peanuts, dairy (milk), eggs, soy, and wheat. Because these allergens are present in the kitchen environment, cross-contact may occur.
Please review individual product labels for specific ingredients and allergen information, as allergens vary by product. Individuals with food allergies should exercise caution. While we do not use gluten containing ingredients, we are not a dedicated allergen-free, gluten-free or vegan facility.

FAQ
(FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS)
-
No, I am not a "chocolate maker" (but the dream is alive, stay tuned). I am a cottage kitchen confectioner with a penchant for covering everything IN chocolate.
All of our caramels and confections are made in-house, but we rely on suppliers to source a blend of chocolate chips that align with our brand focus (sweetened with only allulose or monk fruit and free of gluten-containing ingredients), which we then temper before it becomes the finishing touch on all of our treats. Respect to all the bean to bar makers out there 🤎

In the United States, “sugar-free” is a regulated nutrient content claim defined by the FDA. To meet this standard, a food must contain less than 0.5 grams of sugar per reference amount customarily consumed and per labeled serving, along with other requirements.
Munka Sweet treats are formulated to meet this FDA requirement per serving as packaged, based on the FDA’s current guidance regarding how allulose and monk fruit is treated on the Nutrition Facts label.
Our treats are sweetened with only allulose and monk fruit. Under the FDA’s current guidance, the FDA intends to exercise enforcement discretion allowing allulose to be excluded from the amounts declared as Total Sugars and Added Sugars on the Nutrition Facts label. Allulose is still included in Total Carbohydrates.
We will continue to monitor the updates and guidance with regard to how naturally derived sweeteners are regulated.
-
Sugar alcohols (polyols) such as maltitol, sorbitol, xylitol, and erythritol are commonly used in many sugar-free products. However, for some people they can cause digestive discomfort and may leave a noticeable aftertaste. These are among the reasons we choose to use naturally derived sweeteners (allulose and monk fruit) instead.
-
We use two prebiotic fibers, inulin (in all of our treats) for texture and taste, and soluble corn fiber (present in some of our sourced chocolate chips). In the absence of sugar, these fibers help build the texture, body, and stability that sugar would normally provide. They also contribute to the dietary fiber content listed on our nutrition label.
A note on soluble corn fiber: Despite the name, soluble corn fiber is not corn in the way most people think of it. The starch is processed through a controlled enzymatic process that breaks it down into short chains the body cannot digest. What remains behaves as a soluble dietary fiber, not a carbohydrate, and contains none of the starch or sugar present in whole corn.

Our caramels and fillings are crafted in-house with zero seed oils.
What about sunflower lecithin? Sunflower lecithin is derived from sunflower seeds, but it is not considered a harmful seed oil because it is extracted as a phospholipid, not a refined fat, and contains none of the oxidized fatty acids that make refined seed oils a concern. It is used in small amounts as a functional emulsifier to help maintain smooth texture, consistent flow, and stable chocolate structure. You may notice it on the label of our chocolate-finished treats, as it is commonly used by chocolate manufacturers for the same purpose.

No, we do not carry any official certifications, but here is where we stand on each:
Gluten: Our treats are made without gluten-containing ingredients, but we do not currently carry a certified gluten-free label, nor is our kitchen a dedicated gluten-free facility.
Soy-free: Not completely. We use soy protein crisps in several confection treats for that crispy texture and added protein boost. Our Signature and Vegan Caramel collections however do not contain soy ingredients. Please see individual product labels for the full ingredient list and allergens.
Organic: While many of our ingredients are individually certified organic, we do not carry that certification on our brand or any individual Munka Sweet product.
Vegan: No. We operate a vegetarian kitchen, but it is important to know that Munka Sweet products are not allergen-free and cross-contact may occur.
This is not an allergen-free kitchen. For full allergen and cross-contact information, please read more here in our Terms of Service
