Munka Sweet™ policies are designed to ensure transparency, food safety, and a smooth ordering experience. By placing an order or using this website, you (“Customer”) acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound agree to by the terms outlined below:
1 ● GENERAL
This website is owned and operated by Munka Sweet, a sole proprietorship based in Los Angeles, California. By accessing or using this website, or by placing an order, you agree to the terms and policies outlined here. Munka Sweet reserves the right to update or amend these terms at any time in its sole discretion. Any updates will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Your placement of orders after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
Cottage Food Notice: Munka Sweet operates as a California Cottage Food Operation (Class A) in accordance with California Health & Safety Code §114365. Our products are made in a home kitchen that has not been inspected by the California Department of Public Health. In compliance with cottage food regulations, products are sold directly to end consumers only within the State of California.
Eligibility: By placing: an order, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age and are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement. Munka Sweet does not knowingly accept orders from individuals under the age of 18.
2 ● PRODUCTS
All treats are handmade in small batches. Because of the handmade nature of our products, slight variations in appearance, texture, decoration, or finish may occur between orders. From time to time, recipe adjustments may be made. Nutritional values and product details may vary slightly. Customers should refer to product packaging and the product page for the most current ingredient and nutrition information.
Allergens & Cross-Contact: Munka Sweet products are prepared in a home kitchen that regularly processes tree nuts, peanuts, dairy (milk), eggs, soy, and wheat. Because these allergens are present in the kitchen environment, cross-contact cannot be guaranteed to be avoided. Customer is solely responsible for reviewing ingredient information before purchasing any product. Individuals with food allergies should exercise caution, and those with severe food allergies should not consume products produced in a home kitchen where allergen cross-contact may occur. BY PLACING AN ORDER, CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGES AND ACCEPTS THE RISK OF ALLERGEN CROSS-CONTACT. Munka Sweet is not responsible for allergic reactions resulting from the consumption of its products.
Alternative Sweeteners: Munka Sweet products are sweetened with naturally derived sweeteners including allulose and monk fruit. We do not use sugar alcohols or artificial sweeteners. While these sweeteners are generally well tolerated, some individuals may experience digestive discomfort when consuming alternative sweeteners, particularly in larger quantities. Customers new to alternative sweeteners may wish to consume in moderation. Read more about our ingredients and sweetenershere.
Freshness & Storage: Our treats are best enjoyed within approximately 5–7 days of delivery. Products should be stored in a cool, dry place between 60–65°F (15–18°C) and kept away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and strong odors. Refrigeration is not required but may extend freshness; if refrigerated, allow treats to return to room temperature before serving for best texture. Once an order has been delivered, the customer assumes responsibility for proper storage and handling. Munka Sweet is not responsible for changes in product condition caused by heat exposure or improper storage after delivery.

3 ● ORDERS, PICKUPS & DELIVERIES
Pickups: Pickup is offered conditionally pending weekly pop-up location availability. As of June 2026, orders must be placed by Wednesday at 9:00 p.m. to qualify for that week’s Saturday pickup. Pickup location will be at Baldwin Avenue Gallery located at 12 N Baldwin Ave, Sierra Madre, CA 91024 (between 1–3PM) on Saturday only in Sierra Madre, unless otherwise noted. There are no alternate pickup dates, times, or locations.
Baldwin Avenue Gallery is an independent venue and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Munka Sweet. Baldwin Avenue Gallery has no responsibility for, and Customer agrees not to bring any claim against the Baldwin Avenue Gallery arising from or related to, the products, orders, or services of Munka Sweet.
Failed Pickup: If you are unable to retrieve your order in Saturday between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. (“the Pickup Window”), the order will be considered forfeited. Munka Sweet will attempt to contact you using the phone number provided at checkout, but orders not collected by the close of the Pickup Window cannot be held, as our products are perishable.
Unclaimed pickup orders are not eligible for refund. As a courtesy, Monday or Tuesday delivery may be offered at Munka Sweet’s discretion, subject to order size, delivery address, and route scheduling. Delivery must be to an address within our standard delivery zones (see map [link]), and a separate delivery fee will be invoiced prior to fulfillment should it apply. Standard delivery terms and conditions apply.
Delivery: Orders must be placed no later than 9:00 p.m. three (3) days prior to the delivery date to qualify for that week’s delivery. Delivery is available only within designated service areas listed on our delivery information page. Delivery windows are approximate and are determined by route scheduling and order volume.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information, including the delivery address and a contact phone number, so we can communicate if any delivery issues arise. Deliveries occur Monday–Friday during noted time windows (selected at checkout). Orders will not be delivered outside of scheduled time windows.
Order/fulfillment deadlines:
Order by Wednesday for Saturday pickup.
Order by Friday for Monday delivery.
Order by Saturday for Tuesday delivery.
Order by Sunday for Wednesday delivery.
Order by Monday for Thursday delivery.
Order by Tuesday for Friday delivery.
No deliveries are available on Saturday or Sunday.

Receipt of Delivery By Customer: To maintain product quality and food safety, orders must be received by the customer or a designated adult at the delivery address. Deliveries are completed at the door or building entrance; drivers will not enter a private residence. See “Failed Delivery” below. Any details that may affect access to the delivery location must be communicated at the time of ordering. Munka Sweet reserves the right to cancel an order if the delivery address is inaccessible or outside our delivery zone boundaries.
Unattended Delivery Available Only Upon Request: Because our products are perishable, unattended delivery is not recommended and will not occur unless expressly requested and confirmed in advance. If a delivery is attempted and you or your authorized representative is unavailable to receive the order, the delivery will not be left unattended unless prior arrangements have been made. If unattended delivery is requested, however, Customer assumes full responsibility once the order has been left at the designated location. Orders will only be left unattended if: (a) arrangements have been made and agreed upon in advance, and (b) a temperature-controlled cooler or receptacle has been provided by the customer. Munka Sweet is not responsible for product condition, theft, weather exposure, animals, or other circumstances affecting an unattended delivery.
Failed Delivery: If no one is available during the confirmed delivery window, Munka Sweet will attempt to contact Customer using the provided phone number. Because deliveries occur along a planned route with other perishable orders, same-day re-delivery cannot be guaranteed. If re-delivery is possible, an additional fee may apply. Orders forfeited due to recipient unavailability are not eligible for refund. Customers who anticipate a scheduling conflict must notify Munka Sweet at least 24 hours in advance.
Order Changes & Cancellations: Because our treats are handmade to order, changes or cancellations may not be possible once production has begun. Requests for order changes must be submitted within 24 hours after order confirmation. Munka Sweet reserves the right to decline or adjust orders based on product availability, delivery location, or scheduling constraints. If an order must be cancelled by Munka Sweet, a full refund will be issued.
4 ● RETURNS & DISPUTES
Product Concerns & Refunds: If you believe there is an issue with a product you received, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery and retain the product and original packaging so the concern can be reviewed. Because our products are perishable and may be affected by storage conditions after delivery, Munka Sweet cannot evaluate concerns when the product has been fully consumed, discarded, or stored improperly. Claims related to product quality or safety must be reported promptly and supported by reasonable documentation (including photographs) when applicable. Due to the perishable and handmade nature of our products, refunds are generally not available once an order has been delivered.
If an order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us with a brief description and photo so the issue can be reviewed. Munka Sweet’s sole obligation for valid product concerns shall be, at Munka Sweet’s sole discretion, to issue a refund or store credit not to exceed the purchase price of the affected product.
Payment Disputes: If you experience an issue with your order, please contact us directly at hello@munkasweet.com so we can address the situation promptly. By placing an order, you agree to make a good faith effort to resolve concerns with Munka Sweet before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your credit card provider. Munka Sweet reserves the right to contest chargebacks for orders that were successfully delivered and fulfilled according to the policies outlined on this website.
Dispute Resolution: In the event of a dispute arising from the use of this website or the purchase of Munka Sweet products, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter informally by contacting Munka Sweet directly at hello@munkasweet.com. The parties shall attempt to resolve the issue informally within thirty (30) days.
Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these terms or the use of this website shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and each party consents to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
5 ● YOUR PRIVACY
Privacy & Data: Munka Sweet collects customer information such as name, address, email, and phone number solely for the purpose of processing orders and communicating with customers. We do not sell or share personal information for marketing purposes. Customer information may be shared with third-party services only as necessary to fulfill orders, such as payment processing platforms. Customers who join our interest list may unsubscribe at any time by contacting us or using the unsubscribe link in any email communication.
Third-Party Links: This website may contain links to third-party websites or resources. These links are provided for informational purposes only. Munka Sweet is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or policies of external sites and does not endorse or guarantee the information they provide.

Intellectual Property: All content on this website—including images, text, branding, logos, and product photography—is the property of Munka Sweet and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without prior written consent. Unauthorized use of Munka Sweet’s name, logo, or content is prohibited.
Trademarks: Munka Sweet™ and Treats For Everyone™ are trademarks of Munka Sweet. All rights are reserved. Use of these trademarks without the prior written consent of Munka Sweet is strictly prohibited.

Limitation of Liability: TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MUNKA SWEET’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS, THIS WEBSITE, OR THE PURCHASE OR CONSUMPTION OF MUNKA SWEET PRODUCTS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY THE CUSTOMER FOR THE SPECIFIC ORDER GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. Class Action Waiver: ALL CLAIMS MUST BE BROUGHT IN THE PARTIES’ INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS ACTION, COLLECTIVE ACTION, PRIVATE ATTORNEY GENERAL ACTION OR OTHER REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. YOU AGREE THAT, BY ENTERING INTO THIS AGREEMENT, YOU AND MUNKA SWEET ARE EACH WAIVING THE RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION, COLLECTIVE ACTION, PRIVATE ATTORNEY GENERAL ACTION, OR OTHER REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING OF ANY KIND.
Governing Law: These terms are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Severability: If any provision of these terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity, illegality, or unenforceability shall not affect any other provision of these terms, which shall remain in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement: These terms, together with Munka Sweet’s privacy policy and any other policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and Munka Sweet with respect to the subject matter hereof and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications, representations, or agreements, whether oral or written.
Waiver: The failure of Munka Sweet to enforce any right or provision of these terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. Any waiver of any provision of these terms will be effective only if in writing.
